LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Athletics Department has started taking ticket orders for the 2008 Phillips 66 Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships, scheduled for UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center on March 11-15.

UNLV is taking ticket orders from Rebel Athletic Fund members, season-ticket holders as well as the general public. Orders will be filled based on the UNLV Athletics' Priority Points system.

Plaza-level tickets for the championships are priced at $165 per ticket for an all-session ticket. The deadline to order tickets is January 31. Orders will be filled with priority points taking precedence, then date of order received.

Fans can order their tickets to the tournament by calling 702-739-FANS (3267) or by faxing an order form to 702-895-1204. Order forms were mailed to all UNLV season-ticket holders in December and additional forms may be obtained by contacting UNLVTickets at 702-739-FANS.

UNLV students must purchase tickets at the Thomas & Mack Center Ticket Office on a per-session basis. Students must show valid ID at the time of purchase. Plaza-level tickets for students are $15, while balcony-level seats are $10.

The UNLV men's basketball team won last year's MWC Tournament and received the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where it advanced to the Sweet 16. This year's Runnin' Rebels are 12-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play. UNLV will host BYU for its conference home-opener on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m.
