After defeating Washburn, 74-56, on Tuesday in its only exhibition game of the season, the Runnin' Rebels will tip off the 2008-09 regular season by hosting San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. The game, which will be televised live on The Mtn. will be the season opener for both teams. A banner honoring the 2007-08 Runnin' Rebel Back-To-Back MWC Tournament championship team will be unveiled in the rafters of the Thomas & Mack Center just prior to the game. UNLV will begin the 2008-09 season with four home games in eight days.
