LAS VEGAS - As part of the "UNLV Cares" program, a community outreach program in which Rebel fans, UNLV staff members and athletics teams work together to interact with the community, the Runnin' Rebels are supporting KLUC 98.5 FM and Albertson's in their 10th Annual Toy Drive, which will take place December 4-15.
Though the toy drive doesn't official begin until December, UNLV is encouraging fans to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the men's and women's home basketball games on Nov. 28 and 29 in an effort to fill the first truck of Toy Drive 2008.
Fans can also help by stopping by any local Albertson's store to purchase a toy, gift card or make a cash donation at the store. The toy drive benefits over 1,000 families in the valley on a yearly basis.
