LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Rene Rougeau had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead UNLV to a 73-60 victory over Southern Utah on Tuesday night.

UNLV (11-2) led by 16 points with 7 minutes to play but Southern Utah went on an 8-0 run to make it 62-54 with 2:54 left.

Joe Darger hit a 3-pointer to get the Runnin' Rebels' lead back to double digits.

Kendall Wallace added 15 points for UNLV, including two 3-pointers in the final 2 minutes of the first half as the Rebels took a 39-24 lead.

Oscar Bellfield had 11 points and eight assists for UNLV and Darger finished with 11 points.

Dave Marek led Southern Utah (3-9) with 19 points, while Baker Davis had 16 points and six rebounds and John Clifford added 13 points and eight rebounds.
