LAS VEGAS - UNLV had a total of 43 student-athletes earn Fall 2007 Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors, the league announced on Thursday. UNLV's 43 representatives was a school record for a fall semester since the inception of the MWC and it was the fourth-highest total in the league for 2007, behind BYU's 74, New Mexico's 53 and Utah's 47. The previous UNLV mark for most fall Academic All-MWC recipients was 40 in 2002.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.

Football led the way at UNLV with a team-record 16 student-athletes earning a spot on the Academic All-MWC squad. Women's soccer was next with 13, followed by eight in women's volleyball and six in women's cross country.
