LAS VEGAS - UNLV cross country placed six student-athletes, including two repeat selections, on the Academic All-Mountain West Conference team, the league announced today.

The Rebels on the list included Ali Ainsworth, Gabriela Benito, Jessica Heil, Samantha Jennings, Laura Lundin and Ashley Silva and the six selections tied for the second-most for UNLV in the history of the MWC. Ainsworth and Lundin were repeat selections, with Ainsworth making a third-straight appearance on the squad.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
