LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team played two matches in two different locations on Saturday, finishing the day with a 5-2 victory over Utah State at the Darling Tennis Center.

The Rebels improved to 5-3 on the year.

Playing in windy conditions, UNLV swept the three doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. Elliot Wronski improved his singles record to 7-1 in dual matches this season with a 6-3, 7-5 triumph. Wesley Burrows won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3, Andrew Giuffrida won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 and sophomore Matthew Kunkel won his first singles match as a collegian with a 6-1, 6-3 victory on court six.

"We put together another good performance in the afternoon at Utah State," UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook said. "It was a long day but playing a doubleheader is good for us and will make a better team down the line."

Next up, UNLV plays at Fresno State on Saturday.
