Rebels Begin Long Day With Weber Win

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team played two matches in two different locations on Saturday and won both, beginning with a 6-1 over Weber State on campus at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

UNLV won two of three doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead over the Wildcats. In singles, five of six Rebels won in straight sets. Elliot Wronski, ranked 87th, won his match at the top of the lineup 7-6, 6-2. Also sweeping was Luca Barlocci at No. 2, Wesley Burrows at No. 3, Andrew Giuffrida at No. 5 and Rony Yeghnazary on court six.

"We got a good effort up and down the lineup in the morning match against a Weber State program that is definitely improved," UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook said.
