LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team lost 5-2 to the University of San Francisco in a match played at the Olympic Club on Monday.
The Rebels fell to 6-7 while the Dons improved to 9-5 on the year.
USF began the afternoon by sweeping three doubles matches for one team point.
Two Rebels won their matches in singles play. Luca Barlocchi downed Asaf Cohen 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot and Wesley Burrows won on court three when Rainer Nachbauer retired because of injury while trailing 6-0, 4-0. At the top position, Thong Tu upset 93rd-ranked UNLV standout Elliot Wronski 6-3, 6-0.
UNLV will close out its non-conference schedule on Tuesday by visiting 36th-ranked California.
