LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play by shutting out Air Force 7-0 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on Friday.

The Rebels improved to 8-8 overall while the Falcons fell to 10-10/0-2.

UNLV began the morning by taking two of three doubles matches for one team point. Luca Barlocchi and David Campbell won 8-2 at No. 2 while Wesley Burrows and Matthew Kunkel paired up to win their match on court three by the same score.

In singles, all six Rebels won in straight sets. With top player Elliot Wronski sitting this one out, Barlocchi moved up to the top of the lineup and downed Brett Rodgers 6-3, 6-0. Burrows downed Austin Francis 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2; Campbell beat Taylor Soster 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3; Rony Yeghnazary downed Johnny Buckingham 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4; Bryan Miller beat Alex Beaussart 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5; and Andrew Giuffrida whitewashed Mike Gies 6-0, 6-0 on court six.

UNLV will close out its home schedule by hosting 31st-ranked TCU on Saturday beginning with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admittance is free of charge. It will be the final match for the team's lone senior, year letterman David Campbell.
