LAS VEGAS - UNLV is next in line as the Mountain West Sports Network (The Mtn.) rolls through its annual Nine Schools, Nine Weeks programming this summer. The Rebels will take over the channel's lineup from Monday, July 13 through Sunday, July 19.
During each designated week, programming consisting of the best games and shows covering the select member institution will be shown. UNLV programming includes past top games from the sports of football, women's soccer, baseball, volleyball and men's and women's basketball. Also featured will be shows such as "Day in the Life of UNLV Cheerleaders," "A Conversation With...Lon Kruger" and "Legends Jerry Tarkanian."
The Mtn.'s original programming lineup, including "Around the Mountain" (Tuesdays at 6 p.m. PT), "Mountain Peak Performances" (Wednesdays at 6 p.m. PT), "It's a Numbers Game" (Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. PT) and "The Mountain View" (Fridays at 6 p.m. PT), will air at regular dates and times for the duration of Nine Schools, Nine Weeks. A new episode of "Stories of the Mountain West" (June 22 at 6 p.m. PT) is also incorporated into the network broadcast schedule during the month of June.
Also, The Mtn. will produce and air two unique programs focusing on the 2009 Mountain West Conference Football Media Days, which will be held in Las Vegas on July 21 and 22. A one-hour program, "The Mountain Summit," is a roundtable discussion featuring the nine head football coaches from across the conference discussing myriad issues and is slated to air at 6 p.m. PT on Monday, July 27. The show will be followed by a 90-minute recap of MWC Football Media Days, including interviews with student-athletes and exclusive behind-the-scenes access. The annual 30-minute 2009 Football Preview Specials for all MWC institutions will air Thursday, August 6 beginning at 5 p.m. PT.
