TULSA, Okla. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV junior Mehdi Bouras lost both of his singles matches Thursday at the D'Novo/ITA Men's Tennis All-American Championships.
Playing in the main draw at the Case Tennis Center, Bouras, ranked 103rd nationally, lost a heartbreaker to Tennessee's Matteo Fago, 7-6, 6-7, 6-3. Falling to the conosolation bracket, Bouras won the first set vs. 24th-ranked Gonzalo Escobar but eventually was eliminated by the Texas Tech star 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Bouras and his teammates will next be in action at the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas starting Oct. 20.
