LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After winning the 76 Classic championship over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Anaheim, Calif., with wins over Tulsa (80-71), Murray State (69-55) and Virginia Tech (71-59), the UNLV men's basketball team entered the national rankings Monday at No. 23 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll and No. 24 in the Associated Press Poll. The Runnin' Rebels, 6-0 for the second straight season, will now travel for their first true road game of the season as they will face Illinois State (5-1) on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Normal, Ill., at 7 p.m. CST/5 p.m. PST. The game, which is part of the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge, will not be televised, but the radio broadcast may be heard on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM with Jon Sandler and Robert Smith. The broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature.
