Runnin' Rebels Remain Ranked

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team (9-1) remains in the national polls after splitting its games last week. The Runnin' Rebels are ranked No. 22 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Coaches' polls, which were released Monday.

UNLV defeated Boise State 75-72 on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, before losing 77-69 at then-No. 24 (AP) Louisville on Saturday. Louisville is now ranked No. 20 in the AP and No. 21 in the coaches' poll.

UNLV was No. 19 in coaches' and No. 20 in AP last week, and has now been in the national rankings three straight weeks. The Runnin' Rebels are back home this week as they will play in the Thomas & Mack Center for the first time in three and a half weeks, hosting UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. UNLV's last game at the TMC was on Nov. 20 - a win over then-No. 25 Wisconsin.

After the UCSB game, UNLV will then host Southern Utah on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. After that, the Runnin' Rebels will play No. 6 Kansas State in Kansas City, Mo., on Tuesday, Dec. 21 (ESPN2).
