UNLV Travels North

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After winning the 76 Classic championship over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Anaheim, Calif., with wins over Tulsa (80-71), Murray State (69-55) and Virginia Tech (71-59), the UNLV men's basketball played its first true road game on Wednesday, Dec. 1. The Runnin' Rebels, ranked No. 23 in the nation in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll and No. 24 in the Associated Press Poll, passed the test - winning 82-51 at Illinois State in Normal, Ill. UNLV, which played in black uniforms on Wednesday for the first time in years, is now 7-0 for the second straight season and will travel north to Reno, Nev., to battle intrastate rival Nevada, Reno (1-5) on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. PST. The game, which has a later-than-usual start because of graduation being held in the arena earlier in the day, will not be televised. The radio broadcast may be heard on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM with Jon Sandler and Robert Smith. The broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature.
