Rebels Drop MWC Meet To Aztecs

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's swimming and diving team suffered its second Mountain West Conference loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, as No. 23 San Diego State claimed a 159-134 victory at Buchanan Natatorium.

Four Rebels combined to post a total of six wins for UNLV on the day. Leading the way was freshman Jessica Heim, a triple-event winner in the 500 free (5:04.69), the 1000 free (10:03.34) and the 200 fly (2:04.59). Other wins came from Rachel Dixon in the 50 free (23.67), Katelyn Herrington in the 100 fly (57.22), and Mariah Skeen on the 3-meter board (241.85).

UNLV (3-4, 2-2 MWC) will return to action next weekend as it hosts the UNLV Winter Invitational, Saturday-Monday, Dec. 11-13, in Buchanan Natatorium.
