LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior standout Mehdi Bouras has been named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for the second time in his career, the league announced Wednesday.

The product of Paris, France, went a combined 5-0 last weekend to lead 66th-ranked UNLV to a 2-1 mark. In a loss to No. 15 Texas Tech on Friday, Bouras knocked off 20th-ranked Gonzalo Escobar in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, at the top of the singles lineup after also pairing with Bernard Schoeman to beat the Red Raiders' top doubles team. Bouras finished the weekend with three more wins on Sunday in UNLV victories over Weber State and Northern Arizona.

Bouras will be back in action on Friday when the Rebels travel to play at Arkansas beginning at 3:30 pm PT.
