01-29-11 Jacksons Invitational Results in PDF Format 
The UNLV Rebels track and field team finished well on the final day of the Jacksons Invitational-New Balance West indoor meet Saturday with the 4x400 meter relay team taking first place and four student-athletes claiming second-place finishes. In all, the Rebels competed in nine events at the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Center and came away with 14 top-10 finishes.
The relay team comprised of Emily Blok, Lindsay Roach, Christine Lowe and Kelsey Williamson topped all participants in the event with a total time of 3:49.64.
Blok and Williamson also performed well in other events on the day. Blok was second overall in both the 60m (7.73) and the 200m (24.64), while Williamson placed second in the 400m (55.64) and ninth in the 200m (25.29).
Brett Zorich and Laura Affeld were fourth and 10th, respectively, in the 800m as they closed with times of 2:18.23 and 2:21.05.
Lauren Petersen came in third in the 3000m with a time of 10:26.84.
Erin Straughter placed eighth overall in the 60m Hurdles with an effort of 9.33, while Davina Collins was 10th in the 60m (8.01).
The Rebels had a quartet of student-athletes finish in the top 10 in the triple jump with Ria Daniels leading the contingent with a second-place leap of 36-3.50 (11.06m). Deja Edwards, who finished second in the long jump yesterday, was fourth in the triple jump today with an effort of 36-0.25 (10.98m). Olivia Hudson and Zadia Bryant rounded out the foursome in seventh and eighth, respectively, with jumps of 35-5.25 (10.80m) and 35-3.75 (10.76m).
The track team returns to action next Saturday, Feb. 5, in Flagstaff, Ariz., at the Northern Arizona Team Challenge.
