Take a Timeout to Get to Know Rebel Girl of the Week:
Dilyana Pamoukova
Hometown: Las Vegas, Nevada
Year: Senior
Major: Elementary Education
My nicknames include: Dil, Dilly, Captain Dilly and Shmilyshmana.
My most prized possessions are: any homemade videos of myself and my family, whether they are old or new.
My biggest influence is: my mom. I get my love for dancing and perseverance from her.
My pregame superstition is: that if I practice RIGHT before a performance I will mess up. I try to clear my head and trust that my body knows what to do.
I wish I possessed the superpower of: flying! Skydiving has been a long dream of mine.
The best free show in Las Vegas is: the Bellagio Fountains. It is beyond mesmerizing.
My karaoke song of choice is: Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger. It is a great song, one of my faves!
If I had the opportunity to spend the day with Hey Reb, I would: probably drag him out to the go kart racetrack.
Few people know that: when I was younger, I used to dream of becoming an actress... my ambitions have surely changed!
My iPod playlist consists of: mainly songs from Rebel Girls' practices and games, but also Eminem, B.O.B., Drake, The Fray, Green Day and Mike Posner.
My celebrity crush is: Bradley Cooper.
The one physical feature that I receive the most compliments on is: my smile.
The one word I would use to describe myself is: passionate.
If a genie granted me three wishes, I would ask that he: bring my whole family over from Bulgaria, raise the salaries of educators and allow our team to win Nationals in Orlando, Florida this year.
The one achievement that makes me the most proud is: sticking through the good and the tough times on Rebel Girls. This team requires a lot of dedication, time commitment and passion for what you do. I am proud to be the last senior standing, and I could not be happier with the person I have become over the last four years on this team.
The best thing about being a Rebel is: having the opportunity to be a part UNLV Athletics and Rebel Nation. It has been amazing. The memories from Rebel games and performances are ones I will always cherish.
Five years from now, I see myself: married, teaching a 4th grade classroom and very likely still dancing.
