2011 Mountain West Championship Results
The UNLV cross country team finished seventh overall at the 2011 Mountain West Cross Country Championships hosted by Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo. UNLV's Lauren Petersen paced the Rebel contingent with a 22nd-place finish in a time of 22:21.8 in the 6K race held at the Collindale Golf Course. New Mexico, who had eight runners finish in the top 18, won the event for the fourth-straight year with a tally of 30 points.
New Mexico's Ruth Senior was the top finisher at the conference meet with a time of 20:47.8, which ranks as the third-best 6K mark in MW Championships history. Senior, who was named the MW's Female Athlete of the Year, was joined by three other teammates in the top seven.
Alison Bartosch was 31st overall and the second Rebel to cross the line with a time of 22:43.7. Amanda Berg was 42nd with a time of 23:23.2, while Melissa Cortes and Larissa Davis rounded out the UNLV harriers that counted towards the point totals. Cortes was 52nd with a final time of 23:56.3 and Davis was 55th in 24:13.4.
Auzsane Crowe-Carter (57th, 24:29.2), Laura Affeld (58th, 24:30.7), Kelsey Williamson (60th, 25:04.0) and Brett Zorich (63rd, 25:24.4) rounded out the nine Rebels that participated in the meet.
