LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The Dave Rice Era will officially begin on Friday, Nov. 11, as the UNLV men's basketball team opens the 2011-12 regular season at 7 p.m. against Grand Canyon at the Thomas & Mack Center. All balcony tickets are just $11 when purchased in advance. At halftime, the annual Legends Alumni Game will be played. The game, which was started in 2006, has featured approximately 30 former players each year. There will be no TV for Friday's game. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The UNLV radio broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker is provided for free on the website. The Runnin' Rebels defeated Washburn, 58-50, in their only exhibtion game of the season, on Nov. 1.
