LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After upsetting No. 1 North Carolina on Saturday, 90-80, in the championship game of the Las Vegas Invitational at the Orleans Arena, the UNLV men's basketball team has entered the national polls in November for the third straight year. Now, the No. 18/20 Runnin' Rebels will hit the road for the first time this season as they travel to Santa Barbara, Calif., to face UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at The Thunderdome. There will be no television for the game. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The radio broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker (Live Stats) is provided for free on the website. Video of the game will be available through the BigWest.org website with a subscription. Saturday's game was UNLV's first against a top-ranked team since 1989, was the first against a No. 1 in the regular season since 1985, was UNLV's first-ever win over the Tar Heels and also marked the first time a Mountain West team defeated a squad ranked No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches' polls.
