LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After defeating then-No. 19 Illinois (64-48) in Chicago on Saturday for its second win over a ranked team this season, the UNLV men's basketball team returned to the top 25, coming in at No. 21 in the Associated Press rankings and No. 23 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, which both were released on Monday. Later that night, the Runnin' Rebels beat Louisiana-Monroe (81-63) at the Thomas & Mack Center and now their attention turns to California as UNLV will host the Golden Bears on Friday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. Tickets start as low as $18 if purchased in advance at the Thomas & Mack Center box office, at 739-FANS (3267) or at www.UNLVtickets.com. Cal spent the first four weeks of the season in the top 25 and is receiving votes in both polls this week. Friday's game will be televised live by CBS Sports Network with Todd Harris and Steve Lappas calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio broadcast, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM.
