LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After starting the season 8-0, including wins against UNR, USC, then-No. 1 North Carolina and at UC Santa Barbara, the UNLV men's basketball team lost its first game of the year - at Wichita State (89-70) on Sunday. The Runnin' Rebels defeated Cal State San Marcos (94-50) on Wednesday at the Orleans Arena and will now travel to No. 14/16 Wisconsin for a game Saturday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. CST/11 a.m. PST at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis. The game will be televised live by the Big Ten Network with Gus Johnson and Jim Jackson calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio broadcast, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The radio broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker is provided for free on the website. The Runnin' Rebels were ranked 18th in the country by the Associated Press and were 20th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll last week, but fell out of this week's top 25 as the Runnin' Rebels are now the top team in the "others receiving votes" category in both polls (No. 26). Last year, UNLV defeated then-No. 25 Wisconsin 68-65 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
