LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV cross country team had five student-athletes named to the 2010 Fall Academic All-Mountain West Conference Award, the league announced.

The Rebels on the list included Alison Bartosch (3.63 in community health education), Ali Motor (3.04 in school health education), Lauren Petersen (3.07 in elementary education), Shannon Simpson (3.57 in kinesiology) and Samantha Swan (3.84 in hospitality management). Bartosch and Motor are first-time honorees, while Petersen, Simpson and Swan were recognized for the award in 2009, as well.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
