LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team downed Idaho State 6-1 to complete a doubleheader sweep Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels improved to 8-3 on the season while the Bengals fell to 0-5.
UNLV swept doubles play for one team point. Mehdi Bouras and Bernard Schoeman combined for an 8-4 victory at the top spot; Kasper Konyves and Alex Bull won 8-0 at No. 2 and Wiilie Sublette and Charlie Alvarado won 8-3 on court three.
In singles play, Bouras won 6-4, 6-2 at the top of the lineup; Batyi won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2, Bull won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, Alvarado won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 and Sublette won 7-5, 6-3 on court six.
UNLV is next in action when it hosts Oklahoma State on Friday beginning with doubles play at 2 p.m. Admission to all UNLV matches is free of charge.
