LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 35th-ranked UNLV women's tennis team did not allow a team point for the second time Friday as it downed Utah State 7-0 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Lady Rebels, who beat Denver by the same score earlier in the day, improved to 6-1 while the Aggies fell to 2-2.

UNLV began the afternoon by sweeping all three doubles matches for 1-0 lead.

Moing to singles, 68th-ranked Lucia Batta rallied past Jaclyn West at the top position, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3; Aleksandra Josifoska downed Hailey Swenson 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2; Nives Pavlovic downed Kristina Voytsekhovich 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3; Adrienn Hidvegi won 6-1, 6-2 over Romina Nedakovic at No. 4; Jana Albers won 6-23, 6-2 over Julie Takuafa at No. 5; and Anna Maskaljun swept Brianna Harris 6-2, 6-2 on court sixt.

UNLV returns to the court on Sunday (weather permitting) for another doubleheader. The Lady Rebels host Wichita State beginning with doubles play at 10 a.m. and then take on UC Riverside at 2 p.m. Admission to all UNLV tennis matches is free of charge.
