Rebels Headed To Northern Arizona

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Rebels track and field team will participate in Northern Arizona's Team Challenge Saturday, Feb.5, held at the university's Walkup Skydome. Due to ongoing renovations to the Skydome, no spectators will be allowed during the day's action.

The Rebels will see the return of Chelsea Cassulo and Ashley Henry to field competition after their record-setting performances two weeks ago at New Mexico's Cherry & Silver Invitational in Albuquerque. Cassulo set a UNLV indoor record of 64-8.00 (19.71m) in the weight throw, while Henry tied the program's mark in the high jump with a distance of 5-10.00 (1.78m).

On the track, Emily Block and Kelsey Williamson will run in the 400m, while assistant coach Khadevis Robinson will have his full complement of distance runners on the track for various events.

In all, UNLV has participants in the mile, 60m, 60m Hurdles, 400m, 800m, 200m, 3000m, 4x400m Relay, long jump, shot put, high jump, triple jump and the weight throw.

Joining the Rebels and host NAU Lumberjacks in Flagstaff will be: Arizona State, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State San Marcos, Grand Canyon and Azusa Pacific will take part in the one-day event.
