2011 Sheila Tarr-Smith Invitational Final Results 
UNLV's trio of combined events participants finished the Sheila Tarr-Smith Invitational second through fourth at the conclusion of competition at the Myron Partirdge/Sheila Tarr-Smith Field Thursday afternoon. Alaska Anchorage's Kelsea Johnson won the meet with a total of 4491 points, as she claimed the top spot in both the javelin throw (115-7.00 (35.22 m) and the 800m run (2:33.35) on day two.
Ashley Henry finished second overall with 3535 points and a first-place finish in Thursday's long jump with a distance of 17-10.96 (5.36m).
Ria Daniels and Erin Straughter rounded out the trio of Rebels competing in the heptathlon in third and fourth, respectively. Daniels earned a total of 3304 points to Straughter's 3182 tally.
Amanda Parker of Alaska-Anchorage placed fifth in the competition with 2898 points. Parker's best event Thursday was the 800m run (2:48.27), which she finished second.
The track team returns to action next weekend at Arizona State's Baldy Castillo Invitational on March 18-19.
