Campus Kids' Day Sunday April 3

March 30, 2011

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV women's tennis will be hosting a Campus Kids' Day in conjunction with the team's final home match of the season this Sunday (April 3) at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on campus.

The Lady Rebels take on Air Force beginning with doubles at 10 a.m. Admission is free of charge and a free pizza lunch will be served while supplies last.

Following the match, all junior tennis players who bring their own racquet will be invited to take the courts for instruction and drills from the UNLV women's players.

Sponsored by the United States Tennis Association, the Campus Kids' Day program is being offered at more than 100 men's and women's matches across the nation this season and designed to expose more junior players (along with their parents and coaches) to college tennis.

"This is a great way to help us celebrate our three graduating seniors as they play their final home match," said head coach Kevin Cory. "It's also allows UNLV and the USTA to promote the sport in our community as kids can get real tennis interaction on the courts with college players."
