LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team (23-7, 11-5 MWC) closed out the regular season on Saturday by winning its fifth straight game (78-58 at Utah) and has won six of its last seven games and nine of its last 11 heading into this week's 2011 Conoco Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Runnin' Rebels finished in third place in the league to earn the No. 3 seed. UNLV will face sixth-seeded Air Force (15-14, 6-10 MWC) on Thursday, March 10 at 8:30 p.m. PST in the last quarterfinal game of the day, which will be simulcast on both The Mtn. and CBS College Sports in high definition with James Bates, Joe Cravens and Molly Sullivan calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The UNLV radio broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker is provided for free on the website. The Runnin' Rebels swept the regular-season series against Air Force with a 64-52 win in Colorado Springs on Jan. 15, and a 49-42 victory in Las Vegas on Feb. 15.
