Sheila Tarr-Smith Invitational Leaderboard 
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Rebels finished the first day of the Sheila Tarr-Smith Invitational with three participants in the top four positions of the heptathlon. Wednesday's action consisted of the 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m dash.
Kelsea Johnson of Alaska-Anchorage holds the top spot with a total of 2630 points after claiming the shot put with a toss of 29-8.25 (9.05m). Johnson finished second in the other three events on the day.
UNLV's Erin Straughter claimed two first-place showings in the 100m hurdles (15.16) and 200m dash (26.72), which helped her to 2397 points. Straughter finished fifth in the high jump and sixth in the shot put.
Ashley Henry sits third with 2266 points aided by a first-place high jump mark of 5-5.75 (1.67m). Henry came in fourth twice and fifth once.
Ria Daniels (UNLV) and Amanda Parker (Alaska-Anchorage) round out the quintet of competitors in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Daniels has 2053 points to Parker's 1666.
The Invitational concludes Thurday with the long jump, javelin throw and 800m run.
