Second Team NABC All-District

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's basketball senior Tre'Von Willis was selected as a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Division I All-District Teams, which were announced Wednesday by the NABC.

Willis was honored by being named to the All-District 17 Second Team.

The first team consisted of BYU's Jimmer Fredette, San Diego State's Kawhi Leonard, Colorado State's Andy Ogide, San Diego State's D.J. Gay and Utah's Will Clyburn. Joining Willis on the second team were BYU's Jackson Emery, Colorado State's Travis Franklin and New Mexico's Dairese Gary and Drew Gordon.

Willis, a 6-foot-4-inch guard from Fresno, Calif., was a first-team selection last season and leads UNLV this season in scoring with 13.0 points per game. He is also averaging 3.5 rebounds per game, 3.4 assists per game and 1.6 steals per game. Willis has scored in double figures in 18 of the 26 games he has played this season, scoring 20 or more three times. He ranks 19th in Runnin' Rebel career scoring with 1,272 points.

On Monday, Willis was named second team All-Mountain West Conference.

The NABC Division I All-District Teams recognize the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and are selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC. The 245 student-athletes from the 24 districts are eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams, which will be announced on Saturday, April 2, at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston during the NABC Convention and NCAA Final Four.

UNLV, which is 23-7 overall this season, will face Air Force on Thursday, March 10 in the quarterfinals of the MWC Tournament at the Thomas & Mack Center.
