LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 2011-12 UNLV men's basketball Mountain West schedule, along with many of its television appearances and most game times, was released on Wednesday by the athletics department.
The Runnin' Rebels' non-conference schedule was released in July. One item of note from the previously released non-conference schedule was an incorrect date for the UTEP game at the Thomas & Mack Center. The correct date of that game is Wednesday, Dec. 14.

UNLV will open conference play this year on the road, at San Diego State on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. (televised on NBC Sports Network, formerly known as VERSUS). The Runnin' Rebels' first league home game will be on Wednesday, Jan. 18, as they host TCU at 7:30 p.m.
Four of UNLV's first seven MW games will be played on the road to comprise the first half of its 14-game league slate, while four of its final seven games will be played at home. All MW games this season will be broadcast on television.
The 2011-12 season marks the third straight year that UNLV will have every game of its MW schedule televised. The Runnin' Rebels will appear on CBS this year at New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. PT. It will mark just the second-ever regular season MW game to be carried on CBS. In addition, during conference play, UNLV will be seen on The Mtn. seven times, on NBC Sports Network three times and on CBS Sports Network three times.
UNLV's first televised game of the year will be its non-conference home game against Nevada, Reno, on Monday, Nov. 14 (time TBD) on CBS Sports Network. The Runnin' Rebels will also have their non-conference home game against UTEP shown on The Mtn. at 7 p.m. (Dec. 14), and their non-conference home game against California shown on CBS Sports Network (time TBD) on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
The remainder of the game times and any additional television appearances will be released upon confirmation.
UNLV is coming off a 24-9 season and its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five years. The Runnin' Rebels return seven players, including four starters, from last season that averaged 11 minutes or more per game, and the squad returns 76.5 percent of its scoring from last season and 70.9 percent of its rebounding.
UNLV was ranked in the top 25 for multiple weeks last year and closed out the season in the top 25 in the nation in home attendance (No. 23) for the third straight year as well as again being No. 1 on the West Coast.
