LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's cross country team travels to San Diego for the 67th Annual Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State at historic Balboa Park. The meet will consist of five races with the first scheduled to start at 8:00 am. UNLV will run in the day's second event, the women's invitational 5K at 8:45 am.

UNLV is one of eight teams participating in the invitational 5K. Joining the Rebels will be UCLA, USC, UC San Diego, Point Loma, Biola, San Diego Mesa and the host Aztecs.

The Aztec Invitational is the second meet that the Rebels have competed in early in the 2011 season. They ran in Nevada-Reno's Twilight Classic last Saturday night. Lauren Petersen was the top performer for UNLV, as she finished sixth overall in the 4K in a time of 15:20.
