Rebels Finish Fourth At Aztec Invitational

Aztec Invitational Results

SAN DIEGO (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Rebel cross country team finished fourth overall at the Aztec Invitational held at Balboa Park and hosted by San Diego State. UNLV finished with a total of 96 points and was paced by Lauren Petersen (18:43.0) and Alison Bartosch (19:12.9), who finished fourth and 12th, respectively.

Biola won the 5k Invitational with a total of 43 points and were led by three top-10 performers. UCLA was second (54 points), whle USC was third (81). San Diego State (140), Point Loma (155), UC San Diego (156) and San Diego Mesa College (254) rounded out fifth through eighth place after UNLV's fourth-place finish.

SDSU's Marianne Hogan finished first overall with a time of 18:21.9.

Melissa Cortes was 24th overall and had the third-best time for UNLV with a 19:37.6. Amanda Berg finished two spots behind Cortes in 26th and crossed the finish line in 19:44.9. Auzsane Crowe-Carter was 33rd (19:59.5), while Laura Affeld was 39th (20:23.9) and Larissa Davis was 41st (20:33.7). Rhea Hill rounded out the Rebel contingent of runners in 66th place (22:54.8).
