Runnin' Rebels Host New Mexico Saturday Night

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After defeating TCU (101-78) on Wednesday night in its Mountain West home opener, the No. 14/20 UNLV men's basketball team (17-3, 1-1) will host MW preseason-favorite New Mexico (15-3, 1-1) on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 7:15 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Runnin' Rebels have won eight of their last nine games and this week's top-25 ranking marks their sixth week as a ranked team this season, which is their highest total number of weeks in the polls since 1992-93.

Saturday's game will be televised by CBS Sports Network with James Bates, Steve Lappas and Reggie Miller calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio broadcast, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The radio broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker is provided for free on the website.

UNLV's only loss over its last nine games was at No. 16 San Diego State, by two points on a last-second shot. UNLV has won five of the last six meetings with New Mexico at the Thomas & Mack and three of the last four overall.
