The 36th-ranked UNLV women's tennis team (3-0) remained undefeated in the young season as it shut out Weber State 7-0 Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Lady Rebels opened the morning by taking all three doubles matches for one team point. Aleksandra Josifoska and Nives Pavlovic downed Annika Karlsen and Thais Kurer 8-1 at the top of the lineup, Manon de Lanlay and Anett Ferenczi-Bako got by Michelle Warwick and Nittaya Phonharath at No. 2; and Rumyana Terzieva and Lucia Batta defeated Ashley Tanner and Carly Lloyd 8-4.

UNLV did not lose a set in singles. Josifoska, ranked 87th in the nation, blanked Karlsen 6-0, 6-0 at the first spot; Batta, ranked 121st, downed Warwick 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2; Pavlovic breezed past Kurer 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3; de Lanlay defeated Phonharath 6-0, 6-4 at No. 4; Ferenzci-Bako beat Lloyd 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5; and Ella Bouchier shut out Mandee Miller 6-0, 6-0 at the sixth spot.

Next up for UNLV is the ITA Kickoff Weekend event. The Lady Rebels will travel to Berkeley, Calif., and take on host Cal Friday.
