Men Earn Highest Early Ranking Since 2006

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team will begin the season ranked 60th in the nation as the year's first Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings were released this week.

It marks the highest January ranking for the men's program since debuting at No. 59 in 2006.

Regionally, sophomore Tamas Batyi is No. 16 in singles. Also, Alex Bull and Rene Ruegamer make up the No. 8 doubles team in the Mountain Region, which includes schools in Idaho, Utah, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nevada, and select programs from Colorado and Arizona.

UNLV will kick off its dual season on Jan. 26 at UC Irvine.
