Rebel Duo Advances In Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. (UNLVRebels.com) - One UNLV duo survived Tuesday's first day of doubles qualifying at the 2012 ITA Men's All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Ace Matias and Bernard Schoeman opened with an 8-5 victory over Michigan State's Drew Lied and Aaron Pfister and advanced to Wednesday's second round.

Tamas Batyi and Johannes Markel lost their match to David O'Leary and Joe Salisbury of Memphis, 8-4, while Batyi also lost his singles consolation match earlier in the day, 6-4, 6-0, to New Mexico's Jadon Phillips.
