LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field team will host its Scarlet & Gray Challenge at Myron Partridge Stadium and Sheila Tarr-Smith Field on Friday, Dec. 7. Last year's edition witnessed the Scarlet edge the Gray by 17 points, 176-159, for its second consecutive win in the head-to-head series.

The Challenge will consist of 13 events with seven taking place on the track and six in the field. The first scheduled event will occur on the field with the weight throw set for 10:00 am. Approximately 30 minutes later, the track events will commence with the 300m at 10:30 am.

The one-day event will be a tune-up for the 2013 indoor season that begins on Jan. 19 with the Rebels participating at the NAU Open in Flagstaff, Ariz. The track & field program will host its Winter All-Comers Meet on Jan. 12.
