SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The 63rd-ranked UNLV men's tennis team lost 7-0 to No. 53 Cal Poly on Friday at Mustang Courts.
The Rebels dropped their fifth straight match to fall to 3-7 while the Mustangs improved to 5-3.
Cal Poly began the day by winning two of three doubles matches for one point. UNLV's only victory came at the top spot where Bernard Schoeman and Brian Kenyon won 8-4 over Jordan Bridge and Brian McPhee.
In singles play, UNLV pushed half of the matches to a third set but could not pull out any points. Tamas Batyi fell 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 at the third spot while Kenyon and Alex Bull both lost in super-tiebreakers.
The Rebels stay on the road and return to action Sunday at Fresno State.
