LA JOLLA, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's Amanda Bingson participated in the hammer throw and discus at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational held at Triton Track & Field Stadium Friday afternoon. Bingson finished fourth overall in the hammer and was the highest collegiate finisher in the invitational section.

Bingson's throw of 222-2 (67.71) was seven feet and seven inches shorter than the winning measurement of 229-9 (70.04m) by Nike's Jessica Cosby.

She threw the discus 145-7 (44.37m), which placed her 22nd overall.

UNLV's track & field team returns to action Saturday at UC Irvine's Asics/Steve Scott Invitational.
