2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships: Hammer Throw Finals

DES MOINES, Iowa (UNLVRebels.com) - Rebel senior Amanda Bingson finished third overall in the finals of the hammer throw at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa. Bingson's finish was one spot ahead of her fourth-place showing at last year's championships held at the same site, Drake University's Drake Stadium.

Bingson, who fouled on her first two throws, advanced to the finals with her toss of 219-8 (66.96m) on her third attempt in the opening flight round. That throw wound up being her best on the day.
