LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Host UNLV had a big day in the second round of the UNLV Women's Tennis Fall Invitational, which was played on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Lady Rebels' top two players both won their semifinal singles matches and reached the final of Flight One. Because they are on the same team, they will finish as co-champions instead of facing each other Sunday. Junior standout Lucia Batta, ranked 43rd in the nation, downed Auburn's Pleun Burgmans 6-2, 6-1 while fellow-junior Aleksandra Josifoska, ranked 89th, updended 105th-ranked Texas Tech's Rashmi Teltumbde 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.

In Flight Three, Lady Rebel freshman Iren Kotseva defeated Long Beach State's Anna Jeczmionka 6-7, 6-2, 6-1 to advance to Sunday's final.

In Flight Four, another pair of UNLV players advanced -- Anett Ferenczi-Bako and Ella Bourchier -- and will finish as co-champs.

Sunday's final day of action begins at 10 a.m. and admission is free of charge.
