Final Stats
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 71st-ranked UNLV men's tennis team blanked Southern Utah 7-0 in the first of its two matches Monday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels improved to 10-4 overall, including 9-0 at home, while the Thunderbirds fell to 0-8 in what it is their inaugural season of competition in the sport.
UNLV won the doubles point by taking all three matches and did not lose a set in singles play. Cody Miller, a freshman out of Las Vegas' Bishop Gorman High School, made his dual-match singles debut and downed Branden Olcott, 6-0, 6-0, at the sixth position. Also winning were Ace Matias at No. 1, Gilad Berman at No. 2, Bernard Schoeman at No. 3, Carlos Di Laura at No. 4 and Willie Sublette at No. 5.
