LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program had two of its former alumnae perform well at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships held in Albuquerque this past weekend. Amanda Bingson, a participant at the 2012 London Olympics in the hammer throw, finished sixth overall in the weight throw while Lekeisha Lawson was the runner-up in the 60m.

Bingson, who finished second overall in the weight throw at the 2012 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships, threw a distance of 66-9.75 (19.06m) at this weekend's meet contested at the Albuquerque Convention Center. In January, she registered a throw of 67-11 (20.70m) at a meet hosted by the University of Houston.

Lawson ran a final personal-best time of 7.10 in the 60m, which ranks as the fourth fastest in the world this season. She finished .02 seconds behind Barbara Pierre's winning time.
