DES MOINES, Iowa (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program sent a quartet of runners to the Midwest to participate Thursday and Friday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa. Corey Honeycutt got the Scarlet & Gray started with an eighth-place finish (2:11.65) in the women's 800m unseeded race on Thursday at Drake Stadium.

Honeycutt will return to action on Friday evening (7:05 pm) in the women's 4x800m relay alongside Kelsey Williamson, Auzsane Crowe-Carter and Courtney Allen. Williamson will run earlier in the day in the women's 800m (1:51 pm).

The remainder of the track & field team will head to Irvine, Calif., for UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitational, which will be contested on Saturday and Sunday at Anteater Stadium.
