LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 2013 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships get underway on Wednesday, June 5 in Eugene, Ore., and UNLV's 4x100m relay team will take part in the first event contested on the track (4:00 pm). The Rebel foursome of Uchechi Anunkor, Emily Blok, Ashley Franklin and Monay Meggs are scheduled to run in the third heat of the race at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

The relay quartet qualified for the championships with its 10th-place finish at the NCAA West Preliminary in Austin two weekends ago with a time of 44.79.

Shortly after the relay race's conclusion, UNLV's Myshauna Alexander will take to the field for the javelin at 5:15 pm. Alexander, the 2013 Mountain West champion in the throwing event, earned her way to Oregon with a personal-best toss of 160-0 (48.76m) - ninth place - at the prelims.

On day two of the meet, Blok will run in the 200m at 4:00 pm. She will run in the second heat on Thursday after she qualified with the 11th-best time (23.65) in Austin.

The Pac-12 Conference will stream all of Wednesday's competition (noon to 8:00 pm) and portions of the following three days (Thursday: 11:00 am to 3:50 pm / Friday: 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm / Saturday: 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm). ESPN3.com and ESPNU will broadcast the remainder of the meet with the former handling Thursday's schedule (3:50 pm to 8:00 pm), while the latter will cover Friday (4:30 pm to 7:00 pm) and Saturday (2:00 pm to 4:00 pm).

Last year, the track & field program saw two of its own - Amanda Bingson and Brett Zorich - earn USTFCCCA All-America status after their performances at the outdoor championships in Des Moines, Iowa. Bingson was named to the first team following her third-place showing in the hammer, while Zorich was a second team selection after finishing 13th in the 800m.

Eugene was also the site of the 2012 United States Olympic Track & Field Trials, which witnessed Bingson and former assistant coach Khadevis Robinson earn spots on the U.S. Olympic Team that competed in London.
