NAPA, Calif. - Members of the UNLV men's tennis team were shut out of the win column during Friday's first day of the Napa Valley Collegiate Invitational being played at the Silverado Resort.
"We had a rough day and we need to come out and do a better job tomorrow," Head Coach Owen Hambrook said. "We let a couple slip away but there is a lot of tennis left to play this weekend."
The Rebels opened by facing Fresno State in four singles matches and San Francisco in two doubles matches. On Saturday, they'll take on the contingents from Arizona in singles and the Wildcats and Idaho in doubles. Oklahoma State is the sixth team on hand. The event runs through Sunday.
